reconnect to you

A space for a more aligned & authentic life.

After a life-altering experience that brought her story into national headlines, Tennyson now writes about what unfolds after the moments that change us—both the obvious and the ones we quietly carry.

A Softer Kind of Courage.

I didn’t always know how to talk about what I was going through. Or maybe I did… But I lacked the language to fully explain my feelings or a place where I felt truly understood.

So I did what a lot of us do. I tried all the things. Kept listening to the professionals. Kept telling myself things would get better.…and it helped. I managed. Until I started to realize there was more beneath the surface than I was aware of. And that I wasn’t living to the fullest version of myself the way I knew I could.

I’m Tennyson.

I don’t write from a place of having it all figured out. I write from being in it. After a life-altering experience that changed everything, I found myself in the quiet, unseen work of healing. The kind no one ever prepares you for. The kind that forces you to slow down… to get honest… and to listen to yourself in a way you maybe never have before.

What started as something deeply personal slowly became something I couldn’t not share.

Not because I have answers, but because I know what it feels like to be searching.

This space is for the woman who looks around at her life and thinks…

“Everything is technically fine… so why does something feel off?”

The one who keeps going, keeps showing up, keeps doing what’s expected—

but knows there’s a deeper version of her that’s wanting to step forward.

If that’s you… you’re in the right place.

The Heart of What I Share

I’m not here to give you answers or tell you how to live your life. There wasn’t a moment where everything clicked and suddenly made sense. It was slower than that. Messier. I’ve found that real change doesn’t come from forcing something new.

It comes from understanding yourself in a deeper way. From learning how to listen to myself. To notice what felt true… even when it didn’t make sense yet. To trust something internal instead of constantly searching for something external to confirm it.

So I share what I’m seeing and learning as I go

Not as a guide, but as an invitation. To trust what you feel. To listen a little more closely. And to move toward a life that feels more like your own.

The Values That Guide Me

There are a few ideas I find myself coming back to in my writing, in conversations, and in my own life. Not because I have mastered them, but because they continue to ask something of me. These are the quiet practices that continue to shape a more honest, aligned way of living for me.

Learning to Trust Myself
Listening to my own voice and making decisions from a place of self-trust — even when it feels scary, or when part of me still wants to look for reassurance.
Honoring My Needs
Recognizing what I need, allowing it to matter, and learning to not feel guilty for respecting those needs.
Living in Alignment
Paying attention to what feels true beneath the surface and creating a life that reflects that—because that quiet pull is there for a reason.
Leaning into Curiosity
Following what draws me in, exploring without needing all the answers, and trusting where it leads.
Choosing to Fully Live
Letting go of expectations and stepping into a life that feels real, present, and fully my own, even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.

You don’t have to have this all figured out. I don’t either. But paying attention has a way of changing things.

This is Where I Share More.

My Substack is where I share most openly. It’s the easiest way to stay connected to what I’m writing and thinking about in real time. I write about curiosity, self-trust, and what it looks like to let that guide you even if it’s not neatly packaged. If you are navigating change, asking deeper questions, or starting to trust your own voice more, this is for you.

Mother of All Days

This isn’t a guide, it’s a story.

A story about the moment everything changed… and what it actually looked like to move through what came after. The fear. The uncertainty. The quiet, non-linear path of finding my way back to myself. And the parts of me I don’t know if I would have met if that night hadn’t happened.

This is the story after  the story. Not just how I moved through that night…but how I began to notice the patterns I had been carrying and slowly start to trust the most authentic version of myself. And maybe… in reading it, you’ll start to see your own story a little differently too. The audiobook is now available for those who prefer to listen.

Read Mother of All Days
How can I sum this up ? Read this book. This is a powerful honest journey of an incredibly strong women finding herself. This book will change lives. I laughed. I cried. My book is stained with tears and ear marked for revisit. Most of all I related to the author. I felt like I was talking to her in a coffee shop. I love this book.

This book is so incredibly well written and tells not only such an unbelievable story of what happened to Tennyson and her family, but also beautifully navigates her journey with healing. I couldn't put it down, and now that I'm finished, I am encouraged to continue my own path of healing and growth and inspired by Tennyson to keep being curious and find the things that work best for YOU.

I'm in complete and utter awe! The journey to healing and insights made throughout this book touched my soul. I laughed and cried so many times. I felt like I was doing work on healing my own inner child while simultaneously reading about her experiences. She took me to “therapy-church”. Whew! One thousand percent must read!

The Mother of All Days is more than a memoir—it’s a conversation, a lifeline, and ultimately, a triumph. I closed the final page feeling both moved and grateful to have been let into such a personal, powerful story.

If you are thinking about buying this book dont waste another moment. This book is incredibly written and is one of my favorite books I have read this year. Tennyson takes you through the trauma filled days, proves that resilience is possible and comes out on the other end with inspirational healing. What a light she is to others in a healing journey.

Tennyson Jacobson’s The Mother of All Days is more than a memoir—it’s a gift. What struck me most is her ability to tell her story in a way that not only honors her own journey but also creates space for others to see themselves in it, no matter what path life has placed them on.

What begins as an unimaginable true crime thriller, turns into Tennyson's journey to restore her own inner peace. I was riveted from the first chapter and found myself not only pulling for Tenny and her family, but also connecting deeply to her story, while nothing I have ever navigated myself.

I devoured this book in an afternoon and was mesmerized by the writing and the detail and, more importantly, her path to healing. The bravery and vulnerability is beautiful. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good, riveting story and also to those who have been on a path of healing after a major trauma.

The Mother of All Days is truly inspiring. It’s a book that stays with you long after you’ve finished it. I would recommend it to anyone, whether or not they’ve experienced trauma. There’s something meaningful in it for everyone.

Let’s Have a Conversation

Some of the most meaningful moments in my life have come through conversation. The ones where there is space to be honest, to not have everything figured out, and to speak from a place that feels real.

I’m grateful for opportunities to join podcasts and guest conversations that hold that kind of space. If you are creating something thoughtful and honest, and feel aligned with my work, I would love to connect.

More ways to connect are coming soon

I’m in the process of creating digital resources and offerings to support this work in a deeper, more personal way. These are being designed to help you explore your own experiences, make sense of what you’re feeling, and begin trusting yourself in a more grounded way.

I hope that they give you space to slow down, reflect, and stay with the parts of yourself that are often easy to overlook. Not to rush change, but to understand it.

It’s still taking shape, but it’s being created with care and intention. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you soon.
